2021 Annual Meeting of the American Folklore Society

Description

The 133rd annual meeting of the American Folklore Society will be held October 18–23, 2021. The theme of the meeting is Natural States: Environment, Politics, and Tradition.

  • Virtual sessions will take place October 18–20. Most virtual sessions will be recorded for asynchronous access.
  • In-person sessions will be held October 21–23 at the Hilton Harrisburg in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Some of the events from the in-person meeting will be live-streamed and/or recorded to be available to all participants.

We ask that all meeting attendees familiarize themselves with AFS Annual Meeting Policies.

You can defer your registration payment until later (choose "pay by invoice” at check out), and/or you can apply for financial assistance for registration or membership fees. On the other hand, if you can make a contribution now to help fund access to the annual meeting, thank you!

AFS Membership (optional)

You don't have to join AFS to register for the meeting, but members enjoy a number of member benefits. You should sign in when you register, so that your registration and receipt will be saved to your member profile. If you need help renewing your membership, contact AFS.
